Weekly Bootcamp (8 Weeks)
QAPI Professional
Zoom
A Competent Harmony Healthcare QAPI Professional (CHHI-QAPI) is an interdisciplinary team member who successfully completes this intensive, clinically founded training, geared towards providing and documenting outstanding patient care while understanding regulatory requirements and reimbursement related to QAPI in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. This program is interactive with a focus on practical application for the clinical staff and interdisciplinary team.
This course offers participants a robust understanding of the QAPI methodology. Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) is a data-driven, proactive approach to improving the quality of life, care and services in organizational settings. CMS requires that healthcare entities implement and effectively demonstrate a program that encompasses the principles and methods associated with ongoing monitoring of outcomes. Phase III of the IMPACT Act of 2014 went into effect on November 28, 2019. This resulted in key changes to the Requirements of Participation (RoP) which are linked with QAPI. The new regulations advance QAPI from just a plan to a fully operational system of ongoing organizational learning and improvement. QAPI is one of the top ten F-Tags received during licensure surveys. The combination of the new requirements with existing concerns escalates QAPI to an urgent priority for organizations. Currently QAPI programs are under immense scrutiny, specifically what are the key quality initiatives in action that will take an SNF to the next level of care. In this presentation, the speaker will share action steps to develop an effective QAPI plan addressing regulatory changes related to Requirements of Participation (RoP) and new Long-Term Care Survey expectations.
